Re: Cheap Needles?
Thu, December 2, 2004 - 3:51 PMI just got a huge lot of about 50 pairs of knitting needles in excellent condition for about $40 (including shipping) from an ebay auction. People sell their needles there all the time. Definitely recommend it!

Fri, December 10, 2004 - 3:59 PMHey I heard you could make your own needles too. Anybody tried this yet? Supposedly you just get wooden dowels from the hardware store and then sharpen them in a pencil sharpener, sand them, paint them, laquer them, and decorate. Sounds cool yeah!

Re: Cheap Needles?
Mon, January 10, 2005 - 9:17 AMIt's actually quite easy. I do it all the time, except I never paint or stain the ones that are for me. I just put rubberbands on the end. Tacky, but effective.

Re: Cheap Needles?
Tue, January 25, 2005 - 3:33 PMIt's on San Pablo near Ashby. They have lots and lots of stuff--fabric, paper, paints, books, used canvas, little jars, posters, trophys, molds of teeth, trinkets, stencils, AOL CD's and more stuff that defies description. It is a great place to go when you know what you need for a project but aren't sure exactly what you need to buy that will fill the bill.
