Just curious, but how many of us belong actively to a crafting group? I run a group at the gallery I work at... If you are an active member of some craft group tell us about it...

Re: How Many?
Tue, August 30, 2005 - 8:52 AMI run the SF Chicks with Sticks which is a knitting group that meets every MOnday at Bliss Bar in Noe Valley. We have 500 people on our email list but about 20-30 show up to knit each week. We have a website www.sfchickswithsticks.com and have been featured on Evening Magazine, in the Oakland Tribune, The Noe Valley Voice and in Stitch n Bitch Nation. But mainly we are a group that just has a great time getting together talking, knitting, crocheting, helping & maybe having a cocktail or two.

Re: How Many?
Sat, September 24, 2005 - 11:08 AMwheel, drop, knit, crochet, tatting, anyone an everyone who likes to play with fiber string or yarn is welcome. i crochet and spin on wheel and drop spindle. i shear thr bunnies every three month and I get about three ounces off each at a time. So per bunnie that is about 12 ounces a year. Maybe more, I am actually trying to sell them if you know anyone who is interested. I am also trying to sell my 1970's spinning wheel with a large orafice. Photos are in my profile.

Re: How Many?
Fri, October 7, 2005 - 12:25 PMYou shouldn't feel alone, you can always start a group of your own. The best way to find out about a group or to start one in your area, is to inquire at your local yarn shop. The are usually pretty helpful.
